Apple French Toast

Apple French Toast

Fall is coming and so is the delectable taste of Apple French Toast.

Serves 8-10
Ingredients:
French Bread, homemade is best or good bakery.
1-cup brown sugar
1-cup butter
2 tablespoons corn syrup or maple syrup
1-granny Smith apples prep in advance
8-egg
¾ cups milk
½ cup of cream for recipe
1 teaspoon real vanilla
1-teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon of nutmeg
¾ cup thick cream for whipping and topping.
Directions:
Make this dish the night before.(1) Place in medium saucepan, butter and melt. Add brown sugar and corn or maple syrup. (2) Cook on medium high heat until brown sugar is melted and mixture has bubbled for about 10 minutes, stir mixture. (3) Pour and spread mixture into 9X13 inch casserole dish {preferably glass}. (4) Peel and cut apples into medium thin slices, which is about 1/8 inch. (5) Place apple slices on top of mixture in dish. Make sure to cover the entire bottom of the dish. (6) Cut bread into ½ inch slices then cut slices into fourths. Place bread slices on top of apples. (7) In bow, whip eggs till all yokes are broken. (8) Add cream to a sauté pan and boil for three minutes, then add vanilla and milk. Whip together with a whisk.(9) Pour mixture over bread ensuring that all pieces get soaked. Place plastic wrap over the dish, covering tightly. Put in refrigerator over night. In the morning, place dish in preheated 350*F oven for about 45 minutes or till done there will be a rich browning of the bread. Serve warm with wipe cream and warm syrup.
